Dr Zach DeBoard MD

Zach DeBoard is an adult cardiothoracic surgeon with specialised interest in atrial fibrillation, coronary artery disease, valvular heart disease, pericarditis, left atrial appendage ligation, and VATS. Dr. DeBoard has clinical expertise in hybrid and minimally invasive surgery for atrial fibrillation.

 

Dr. DeBoard completed training at high volume clinical centres in the United States He previously held a consultant & affiliate professor position in Washington State prior to moving to New Zealand. While at his previous post he pioneered novel surgical treatment for patients with atrial fibrillation & was awarded a national top doctor designation for several years.

 

Dr. DeBoard is published in multiple medical journals & maintain active research interests throughout cardiac surgery but with a primary focus on arrhythmia & atrial fibrillation. He has given numerous presentations at national & regional medical conferences and held leadership positions on continuing medical education, quality improvement, and medical education committees.
