David McCormack is the National Cilical Lead for Te Whatu Ora (PSC). He previously served as the Associate Chief Medical Offier of Waikato DHB and Head of Department of Waikato Cardiothoracic Unit. He is a Specialist Consultant Surgeon at Waikato Cardiothoracic Unit, Hamilton New Zealand. He is an Associate Professor of Surgery at The University of Auckland with a clinical interest and expertise in complex aortic surgery.
He is skilled in the management of ischaemic heart disease and heart valve surgery. Active in the generation and utilisation of technology to advance surgical practice, healthcare delivery and innovate research.
